Avon Scout Radio operates an on-line radio station from studios (a Scout HQ) in Bristol, in the south west of the UK. All those involved with Avon Scout Radio are volunteers, and are members of The Scout Association.

As an on-line radio station, the broadcasts can be heard via computer, smart gadgets and smart phones. In addition to being able to listen via you can also listed via #tune in#

There are live broadcasts most evenings, with a selection of music played when no presenters are in the studio.

Please see here for the programme schedule.

In addition to the regular broadcasts, the Avon Scout Radio team visit Scouting related events. At these events an on-line radio station is operated alongside a programme activity. The radio broadcast provides an opportunity for those not at the events (i.e. parents etc) to follow what is going on at the event and to hear about the activities the young people are enjoying at the event. The Avon Scout Radio team at the event will interview participants at the event, and those leading the event, to help portray on air how the event is going. Event participants will also be able to come in to the temporary studio to choose some music, and to present their own live shows. In addition to national Scouting events, including Gilwell 24, Winter Camp and Fundays, we also attend District and County events. If you want to see the type events we attend, and what we do when we're there, then take a look at our photo gallery.

On Mondays evenings are shows are broadcast from the studios of BCfm, a Bristol community radio station. The show is broadcast through the Avon Scout Radio website as well as through BCfm's online radio station. The show is also broadcast on FM (93.2 FM) in the Bristol area.As part of Avon Scouts we attend a variety of events in the county to interview young people to create content for later broadcast.Members of Scouting in Avon are able to visit our studios (or BCfm studios on a Monday) to present a programme or to be interviewed. In addition to our fixed studio, we also have mobile broadcasting equipment which we take to a variety of events.
